Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to work for our prestigious client based in Saltley, Birmingham. Duties will include:

Develop and manage transport schedules and routes to optimize efficiency, cost, and time
Use transport planning software to determine the most efficient routes
Adjust routes and plans based on traffic, weather, or other unforeseen conditions
Analyze transport data, including costs, efficiency, fuel usage, and environmental impact
Provide regular reports on transport performance, including KPIs like on-time delivery, cost per trip, and fuel efficiency
Collaborate with drivers, warehouse teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transportation operations
Liaise with local authorities or regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with transportation laws and safety regulations Ideal Candidate:
Experience within a Transport Department role for at least 2 years Key Skills:
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis
Good knowledge of traffic management, vehicle routing, and transportation regulations
Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Understanding of environmental impact and sustainable transport practices. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 4am – 1pm / 12pm – 9pm on a rotation basis Salary: £27,000 - £34,000 per annum
