Position: Capital Projects- Project Manager Reports to: Engineering & Performance Director Role Overview: Responsible for day-to-day management of operational improvement projects assigned by the Leadership team in a professional, efficient manner aligned with the company’s business code of conduct and company values. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manager resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Responsibility for the planning and execution of defined business improvement projects as requested by the Performance and Engineering Director. Delivery of key change management and capital projects. Directing and coordinating a project team in order to achieve the project, ensuring common goals and a shared vision. The effective delegation of Project activities to the project team. Ensuring the effective management and utilisation of resources made available to the project. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Managing the deployment of the project deliverables to ensure the team are making the correct progress to schedule, advising, correcting, and recommending adjusting priorities if required. Monitoring project status and progress, project schedule, costs and reporting project risks and mitigation steps required to deliver the project. Arranging and conducting effective project reviews and meetings. Driving safety processes throughout each project. Associated Responsibilities: Ensuring that a strategic outlook is taken at all times. Ensure that the project team are working within the companies’ code of business conduct. Effective stakeholder (including customer, supplier) management. Experience and Training: Experience of Operational processes or projects. Engineering Capability. Knowledgeable in financial, safety, quality, production, and procurement processes. Strategic in their approach and addresses inter-dependencies and real issues. Experience managing to deliverables and milestones: on time/within budget/meeting business needs. Ability to manage troubled teams/projects and bring them to success. Proven experience in project management, preferably capital projects. Organised and efficient in work processes. Microsoft Project MSP. IOSH managing safety certificate. Relevant Project Management Qualification, for example, APM approved qualification. Experience in change management programmes. Experience on greenfield manufacturing site capital projects delivery. Essential Criteria: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Issues and conflict management Risk awareness Experience with budgeting and financial analysis for capital projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Coach and mentoring skills Able to build and manage interpersonal relationships.
