Job Description:
We have three exciting Regional Buyer opportunities in Procurement across MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), Logistics, and Chocolate/Cocoa. Each role will involve leading and managing procurement activities for the UK&I region, working closely with the Global Lead to develop supplier relationships, drive strategic initiatives, and execute category-specific strategies. Reporting to the Procurement Head for UK&I, you will ensure supply continuity, cost optimisation, and sustainable sourcing in your designated category.

Strategic Responsibilities:

Build strong relationships with suppliers and develop sourcing strategies to ensure a secure and sustainable supply of materials and services.

Align with the company's business category strategy and effectively communicate it across procurement teams.

Implement regional category strategies tailored to your designated category (MRO, Logistics, or Chocolate/Cocoa) with a focus on cost savings, cash flow management, supply continuity, sustainability, and innovation.

Build strong Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) in collaboration with global and regional strategic suppliers.

Collaborate cross-functionally with regional teams (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D) to deliver productivity and business continuity projects.

Work closely with the global head of the category to execute key strategic projects.

Implement procurement-driven processes and tools within the team and category.

Provide input into category and supplier segmentation, managing suppliers operating locally under your category.
Operational Responsibilities:

Gather requirements (specifications, scope of work, service levels, KPIs) from stakeholders within your category.

Lead the end-to-end sourcing process for new contracts within the category.

Finalise contracts with suppliers and ensure compliance with company T&Cs.

Negotiate contract terms, liaising with legal and suppliers to maximise value.

Perform due diligence on suppliers to assess their financial status.

Present sourcing strategies and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Report on key deliverable areas, updating internal systems for all projects in your category.

Manage supplier performance issues and act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders within your category.
Qualifications and Experience:

Graduate qualification or equivalent experience in indirect procurement.

Strong negotiation and commercial analytical skills.

Supplier/Customer relationship management experience or excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.

Project management and leadership experience, with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and manage key stakeholders.

Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute long-term category plans.

Experience in implementing change within an organisation.

Excellent communication and influencing skills across teams and stakeholders.

Category-specific experience in MRO, Logistics, or Chocolate/Cocoa is desirable.

MCIPS or equivalent certification is desirable
