Principal Cyber Security & Network Engineer

Their team in Chiswick, West London provide engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil and gas field, HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments.
We are currently looking for a Principal Cyber Security & Network Engineer to support their UK and Norwegian projects, this represents a great opportunity to join an expanding portfolio of interesting renewable and traditional oil & gas projects, along with potential travel/relocation to Norway, if of interest.
This role can be offered on a hybrid or remote working basis.
What will you be doing?
Implementing strategies, specifications, and reports for cyber security and network engineering in industrial automation and control systems, in accordance with IEC 62443 or similar
Ensuring design in accordance with requirements and international standards
Conducting meetings with major international customers and suppliers
Coordinating and leading meetings and technical workshops with suppliers and customers to review network architectures and cyber security compliance
Reviewing and commenting on supplier topology drawings, functional specifications, and testing procedures
Establishing and documenting monitoring requirements with the client at equipment level
Participating in Factory Acceptance Testing, including reviews of configurations of network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls
Conducting meetings on lessons learned, sharing experiences, training others, and updating requirement specifications accordingly
Proposing and driving improvements in projectsWe think you should have:
Bachelors or Masters degree in automation, computer science, information security/technology, cybernetics, electrical engineering with industrial network experience or similar
5+ years of relevant work experience in a relevant field
Experience with and ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary matrix organizations, seeking answers/advice/support as needed
Experience with industrial automation systems, combined with knowledge of industrial networks
Experience with industrial networks, products, and protocols, including industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP, Profinet, IEC 61850, and OPC UA
Knowledge of the IEC 62443 framework for Cyber Security in Industrial Automation and Control Systems
Knowledge of risk assessments for Cyber Security
