As part of their Property Services pillar, they are committed to designing, building, maintaining, and connecting communities to create a more sustainable society. And right now, their refurbishment team is growing, and they are on the lookout for a Senior Estimator to join them!
What You'll Do:
As a Senior Estimator, you'll take the lead on producing high-quality, competitive tenders and submissions for projects up to £20m. You'll work closely with their commercial and operations teams to assess contract conditions, quantify risks, and deliver winning bids across the social housing refurbishment sector.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Taking charge of preparing quantitative aspects of tenders and bid submissions.
Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of tender documentation.
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and best outcomes.
Engaging with the supply chain to develop the best solutions for projects.
Developing cost models, preparing builders quantities, and analyzing market benchmarks.
Managing your team's performance and development, all while contributing to innovative improvements in our estimating process.What they are Looking For:
A relevant degree and minimum 5 years of Estimator experience, ideally within social housing refurbishment.
A proven track record of winning profitable work in partnerships and frameworks.
Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods and standard contracts (NEC, JCT, PPC2000).
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel) and experience with estimating software.
A flexible, methodical, and energetic approach to managing projects and meeting deadlines.
