Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Commercial Data Analyst to join our Property Services business. This role will be integral in providing actionable insights and supporting business decisions through the analysis of commercial data. The successful candidate will use their expertise in Power BI to design, implement, and optimize business intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports that enable stakeholders to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and analyse commercial data from various sources including sales, finance, and operations.
Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, providing key insights to management and teams.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within business data to support strategic
Design and develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that align with business needs
Optimize Power BI models for better performance and scalability.
Provide training and support for team members on Power BI tools and reporting processes.
Work closely with senior commercial stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
Support the development of business strategies by providing in-depth analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data alignment and consistency across all departments.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy by adhering to best practices in data management.
Regularly audit and validate data sources to ensure compliance with internal standards.
Support the automation of data extraction, cleaning, and reporting processes.
Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer specific business questions or provide insights on new initiatives
Present findings to senior leadership and suggest actionable recommendations based on data insights.
Identify areas were data collection, analysis, or reporting processes can be improved to drive efficiency.
Leverage automation tools and advanced analytics to enhance reporting capabilities.Key Skills & Experience:
Advanced experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Strong ability to analyse large datasets, extract insights, and present findings clearly using Power BI or other visualization tools.
Understanding of key business drivers in a property services environment and the ability to apply data analysis to support business strategy.
High proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, financial analysis, and reporting.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
Proficiency in SQL to query databases and support data extraction processes.
Strong focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
Experience with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., predictive modelling, machine learning).
Familiarity with financial and operational KPIs within the property services business.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Relevant certifications (e.g., Power BI certification, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.Personal Attributes:
