Position Overview:
Weare recruiting for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team. You'll be responsible for reporting the company's management accounts and must take ownership of understanding the business to ensure accurate financial reporting. The role will see you manage and support 3 direct reports within the Finance team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly group management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and associated commentary.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including stock reconciliations review Profit & Loss analysis reports.
Manage the ledger close process and oversee accounting controls.
Present financial figures to the senior management team.
Manage customer rebates, including reconciliation and payment approval.
Oversee vendor funding allocations.
Prepare UK VAT returns.
Report daily cash flow for the group.
Manage a small team responsible for bank reconciliations, payments, expenses, and company credit cards.
Assist in preparing year-end audits for the group.
Support the Finance Manager and Finance Director.
Conduct commercial reporting.
Calculate sales commissions and bonus payments.
Identify and implement process improvements.
Collaborate on company projects with the Project Accountant to enhance reporting and processes. Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc) previous experience within a Management Accountant role
Inquisitive nature with a desire to improve processes
Experience in system development is essential
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, lookups, and SUMIF functions.
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Dynamic and proactive attitude with a desire to enhance working practices.
Professional and mature demeanour.
Flexible, team-oriented approach.
Clear and effective communicator.
Team management experience is desirable.
Experience with Corporation Tax, VAT, and employment taxes. Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £45,000 and £55,000 annually.
