Job Title: Senior Estimator – Social Housing Refurbishment
Location: South East
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 + Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are working on behalf of a leading infrastructure, construction, and property services company to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to join their growing Refurbishment Team. This organisation is dedicated to creating sustainable and inclusive communities, focusing on Social Housing refurbishment projects and managing tenders up to £20m.

The Role
As a Senior Estimator, you will:

Lead the preparation of high-quality tenders, PQQs, and bid submissions.

Oversee the quantitative aspects of tenders and supervise the work of junior team members.

Assess contract conditions, identify risks, and propose workable solutions.

Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to ensure the smooth delivery of tenders.

Develop cost models and predicted life cycle costs, while engaging with the supply chain to identify best-value solutions.

Support team development, including coaching and performance management.

Deputise for the Estimating Manager as required, including attending meetings and preparing reports.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:

A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Estimator role.

Social housing experience (Essential)

A proven track record of winning profitable work.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and estimating software.

Strong practical knowledge of construction methods and materials.
-
Awareness of contractual frameworks, including NEC and JCT.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

A valid UK driving licence.
You should also be:

Organised with strong project management skills, able to meet tender deadlines.

A proactive team player who works well both independently and collaboratively.
