Senior - Associate Environmental Designer Up to £75k City of London

Are you an experienced Environmental Designer passionate about shaping sustainable buildings? A leading building services consultancy is seeking a Senior - Associate Environmental Designer with expertise in Building Physics and Operational Energy to join their growing London team.

About the Company: This consultancy is a distinguished environmental design consultancy and building services engineering firm dedicated to creating high-performance, sustainable buildings that harmonise with their environment. Founded in over 30 years ago, the firm has grown from its London roots to establish a global presence, with offices in North America, Asia and Australasia. The multidisciplinary team includes experts in sustainable design, building services engineering and digital engineering. Working closely with Tier 1 architects, their collaborative approach ensures sustainability is embedded throughout every stage of a project. The consultancy has delivered innovative solutions across diverse sectors. A large portion of the work is with blue-chip clients to deliver commercial projects but they also work across projects in the cultural, education, healthcare, and aviation sectors.

The Role: We're looking for a skilled professional with a proven track record in Building Physics and Operational Energy. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering building physics services, including thermal modelling, daylight analysis, and energy assessments.
Providing expertise in NABERS, Design for Performance, TM54 Assessments and Operational Energy strategies.
Collaborating with architects and design teams to integrate sustainable practices into projects.
Leading technical delivery and quality assurance on multiple projects.
Supporting and mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

About You:
Experience: Minimum 4+ years in Building Physics or Sustainability Consulting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools such as IES-VE, EDSL-TAS, DesignBuilder for modelling and analysis.
Expertise: Demonstrated experience with NABERS, Design for Performance, TM54 Assessments and Operational Energy strategies.
Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with architects, engineers, and clients.
Leadership: Ability to mentor junior team members and take ownership of project delivery.
