The Development and CMO Tech Function is responsible for delivering innovative solutions for Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Precision Medicine, Safety, Regulatory, Quality, Portfolio and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer. These solutions span the entire clinical development lifecycle, including protocol development, patient-centric approaches, clinical trial design and execution, regulatory submissions, pharmacovigilance and others. By harnessing cutting-edge technology, data, and analytics, we enable operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive impactful decision-making to accelerate the delivery of transformative therapies to patients.
SPD, Strategy and PMO will effectively act as chief of staff for the VP, R&D Development and CMO Tech, and play a critical role in driving cohesion and execution excellence across Development and CMO Tech product families. The role is accountable for strategy, portfolio, operations, organizational decision-making support and fostering cross-functional collaboration to maximize value and impact of Development and CMO Tech.

Strategic Planning: Facilitate the design and articulation of strategic goals and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. Challenge to think broadly, identifying opportunities to build a cutting-edge portfolio that positions GSK Development as a top performer. Orchestrate delivery of streamlined reporting for stakeholder decision making.
Governance & Funding: Develop ambitious funding proposals to secure annual investment, ensuring optimal allocation to priority strategies. Oversee financial management across all funding sources to deliver to budget. Lead governance processes to promote transparency, track progress, and maximize value delivery.
Portfolio Management: Lead the establishment of portfolio management tools, processes and ways of working to achieve execution excellence of the portfolio. Manage dependencies and risk, oversee change controls, and drive continuous improvement to ensure investments deliver on time and within scope. Establish clear reporting to track portfolio performance and provide regular updates to leadership for decision making.
LT & Decision Support: Be a thought partner to the VP on strategic priorities and the development of the organization. Support day-to-day execution and prioritization, providing actionable insights to enable informed decision-making. This includes triaging competing priorities, preparing analysis or briefing materials, responding to urgent requests and ensuring alignment across stakeholders to drive timely and effective outcomes. Facilitate LT meetings and interactions to drive the team's operational and strategic agenda.
Operations Management: Oversee daily team operations, including organizational design, structure, recruitment, partnerships and more. Manage key team artifacts to promote consistency and facilitate effective knowledge sharing. Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness through continuous improvements strategies, talent development, and strategic management of internal and external partnerships.
Culture and Engagement: Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation and continuous growth by leading activities that enhance engagement, promote teamwork, and help align individual contributions with organizational goals.
Special Projects: Operationalize and manage high priority projects and ad-hoc initiatives, under the guidance of senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery of outcomes.

Why You? Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience in senior product delivery or strategic roles, leveraging technology in financial environments focused on data tools, processes, and analytics.
Experience in IT strategy development, solution design, program/project delivery, and service management across business lines.
Experience driving business impact through process optimization and IT-enabled solutions spanning multiple business areas.
Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks.
Experience in vendor management and partnership oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters/PhD.
Extensive experience in business process transformation and technology development/implementation.
Expertise in managing global projects and leading virtual, multicultural teams as well as building and leading high-performing teams of knowledge workers.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, reconcile diverse viewpoints, and drive consensus on critical issues.
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management tools, and data analytics platforms.
Demonstrated ability to influence relationships and drive consensus across all organizational levels.
Experience integrating data from multiple global business units to create cohesive, enterprise-wide solutions.
Deep understanding of business strategies, data strategies, and analytical frameworks.
Expertise in delivering actionable insights and recommendations to business leaders.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
