You Are:
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transition Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the successful delivery of complex infrastructure transition projects.
We are seeking a Senior Transition Manager with over fifteen years of experience in managing large-scale, complex IT Infrastructure transitions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the end-to-end transition process for our global customers, managing project risks, and ensuring the successful execution of transition plans.
You will work closely with internal teams and customer leadership, ensuring effective communication, meticulous planning, and the smooth delivery of services.
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead diverse teams, and build strong customer relationships.
The Opportunity:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of IT infrastructure (Cloud) transition projects for global customers.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, both internal and external, to define transition objectives and align on timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Develop and present detailed transition plans to customer leadership, ensuring clear communication of project scope, risks, and timelines.
- Drive the management of all aspects of transition including risk mitigation, resource allocation, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple geographic locations to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee the identification and management of potential project risks and proactively address issues as they arise.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement throughout the transition process.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress, report on key metrics, and ensure that the transition stays on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company standards for IT infrastructure transitions.
- Mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and transition methodologies.
What you need:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing large, complex IT infrastructure transition projects.
- Extensive experience working with global customers and managing IT transitions across multiple geographies.
- Proven track record in building and presenting detailed transition plans to customer leadership, including handling risks, issues, and timelines.
- Expertise in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, or similar tools).
- Strong experience in working with cross-functional and global teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with C-level executives and senior leadership teams.
- Exceptional customer management and relationship-building skills, particularly with UK-based clients.
- High level of fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and ITIL would be advantageous.
Bonus points if:
- Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure management and technologies, including cloud services, data centres, and networks.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies or similar frameworks for project management.
