Our client is a leading construction and development firm dedicated to delivering high-quality residential projects. With a commitment to innovation and sustainability, we are currently seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee a flagship RC frame residential new build project exceeding £100M.
Role Overview:
As the Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of this major residential development, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a diverse team of professionals and collaborate with key stakeholders, while maintaining our commitment to safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from conception through to completion.
- Develop and implement project strategies, goals, and timelines in alignment with company objectives.
- Manage budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Prepare and present regular updates to stakeholders on project status.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Director or in a senior management role within the construction sector, particularly with large-scale residential projects (preferably RC frame).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, design management, and contract administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or related fields (e.g., degree, chartered status).
