As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead and inspire a team of engineers and technicians, working on a diverse range of landmark projects that push the boundaries of design and sustainability. The Principal Structural Engineer Will:
Lead the delivery of complex structural engineering projects, providing innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
Provide strategic guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and technical standards.
Review and approve detailed designs, calculations, and reports to ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
Foster the professional development of engineers and technicians through mentoring, training, and knowledge-sharing, maintaining a high-performing team.
Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and representing the company in client meetings and industry events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of structural design principles and construction methods across multiple materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
Proficient in industry-standard software, with the ability to oversee and review detailed technical outputs.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng), holding membership with IStructE or ICE, demonstrating a commitment to professional and technical excellence.
Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor teams while maintaining high technical standards.
Proven ability to manage client relationships, including negotiating contracts, setting expectations, and ensuring satisfaction.
