Central London Forward (CLF) is seeking a Policy Officer to lead our work on Net Zero. CLF is a partnership of the 12 central London local authorities. We work with our member authorities to support inclusive and sustainable growth in central London; so that our economy thrives, and our residents benefit from the opportunities this creates. Every one of our member authorities has set ambitious targets to reach net zero, and they are committed to ensuring their residents benefit from the opportunities that transition to a decarbonised economy will bring. Working with the Senior Policy Manager, you will have an exciting and varied workload. You will conduct research, you will manage externally commissioned research projects, and you will produce policy papers. You will need a good knowledge of both the role of local authorities in London, and of the policy-making process. A good understanding of net zero policy is essential. Additionally, experience of quantitative research would be desirable. You will need exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively – both in person and in writing. You will have an open, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach and a willingness to take on new challenges.
