Our client is a fast-growing, vertically integrated renewable energy company, focused on developing, building and operating large-scale solar and BESS projects. They are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their Procurement team. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager this role will work closely with the Delivery and Technical teams, amongst other key stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic candidate to join a fast-growing renewable energy business as they head into the next phase of growth. Responsibilities Managing the full source to contract process. Leading the procurement of long lead and short lead materials and bought in services either direct sourcing or via EPC and/or ICP contractors. Leading the procurement and tendering of EPC Contractors, ICP Contractors and PV module suppliers. Managing contractor relationships in the transmission and distribution market. Developing contract strategies for specific projects and/or portfolios of projects. Prequalifying new contractors and suppliers. Developing and maintaining relationships with equipment suppliers and the further supply chain. Leading the negotiation of (whilst liaising with the relevant internal subject matter experts e.g. Legal, PM) construction contracts with supply chain in order to obtain best value. Negotiating long term framework contracts with key supply chain partners. Managing ESG and quality assurance in the supply chain. Support the Project Manager in contract administration of construction works, including cost management, contractor payments, compensation event assessment and variation orders. Supporting risk, timeline and budget management for projects in execution from a Procurement perspective. Support the project managers in providing cost evaluations through the project stage gate process. Requirements 3+ years’ experience working in procurement for an Energy/ Renewables developer. Experience of working in a “startup” type environment. A proven track record of delivering procurement support to projects on time and on budget and managing inputs from a multi – disciplinary team. A proven track record of delivering procurement to plan with regards to project status, programme, risk management, budget and key performance indicators. Understands EPC and ICP contracts, and has experience with working with internationally recognised standard forms of contract, for example FIDIC or NEC4 Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficient in all MS applications, in particular Powerpoint, Word & Excel.
