You will play a critical role in shaping the future of sustainable energy to oversee the planning, development and execution of wind energy projects. The team is made up of experienced professionals with strong backgrounds in consultancy, development, asset management, investment, construction, installation and agri-tech. Their broad skillset, enthusiasm and depth of knowledge have led to an impressive track record in the sector. The team are knowledgeable, friendly, diligent and hard-working. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identify and assess potential wind sites, considering technical, infrastructure, legal, regulatory, environmental, and economic factors. Identify and assess existing wind projects that have the potential for repowering. Manage and lead all aspects of project development, including land acquisition, planning applications, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and grid connection processes Manage third parties to deliver project milestones on time and within budget, including but not limited to; owners, landlords, network operators, contractors, technology providers and consultants as well as potential operational providers and suppliers. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project execution from inception to completion. Manage and oversee all aspects of projects from grid connections, legal negotiation, planning and permitting, technology provision, supply and operations, revenue streams to due diligence. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate project viability and optimise financial returns. Prepare reports and forecasts on project status including needs, risks, goals and progress. Ensure projects comply with planning, regulatory, HSE and legal requirements. Foster and maintain positive client relationships. Stay informed about industry trends, policy changes, and technological advancements in renewable energy. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Experience and personal attributes Prospective candidates should be educated to degree level and be able to provide evidence of: Proven experience in renewable energy development (essential) with experience in wind development (desirable). Strong understanding of energy policy, planning systems, permitting and regulatory frameworks in the UK. Good appreciation of all renewable technology and their geographic and infrastructure constraints. Knowledge of wind repowering. Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Experience of securing grid connections. Understanding of project legal agreements and commercial contracts. Financial literacy, including experience with budgeting, cost management, and financial modelling. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in their work with robust time-management skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to write communications which are eloquent and concise. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. First-rate organisational skills with the ability to multitask. High proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite skills. Willingness to learn new skills and a can-do attitude.
