Who We Are: We're a dynamic team within ETS, and we're on the lookout for a Graduate Ecologist to help us manage ecological risks and enhance the environment through a variety of exciting projects. From design conception to construction completion, you'll play a crucial part in making sure nature thrives alongside our projects.
What You'll Do:Lead the Charge in Ecology Studies: You'll be at the forefront of ecology surveys and assessments across a wide range of Water, Wastewater, and Network projects, ensuring every step is in line with environmental best practices.
Find Practical Solutions: As you manage your own work and collaborate with experts, you'll create mitigation strategies and ensure that ecological risks are well managed, helping projects stay on track while safeguarding our planet.
Champion Sustainability: You'll support the Principal and Lead Ecologists, engaging with contractors, stakeholders, and environmental regulators to ensure smooth project delivery. Plus, you'll be a part of researching and implementing continuous improvements for the environment.
Fieldwork & Adventure: Get ready to explore the UK-whether it's early mornings, late nights, or weekend work, you'll be out in the field, gathering data, and making a direct impact on the natural world.
Key Skills You'll Need:- A solid understanding of species, habitats, and UK environmental legislation
- Experience in protected species surveys, including for bats, dormice, water voles, and more
- Great organisational and communication skills (your ability to work independently and in teams will shine!)
- Competence in MS Office and GIS
- A full driving license and a passion for the outdoors
- A relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree

This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.
