Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join a well known, National M&E Contractor. Due to continued growth, this is a newly created role, which will strengthen the team and ensure the Procurement department are able support the business in a time of growth, to deliver their business objectives whilst at the same time developing a sustainable strategy. About This Role Job title: M&E Buyer Duties & Responsibilities: As the M&E Buyer your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Procure materials, goods, and services from a variety of Mechanical and Electrical suppliers To provide general support and administrative assistance in procurement activities Register and clear invoices for Purchase Ledger Source materials and negotiate best price with Suppliers Input orders onto IT system Expedite goods and materials Updating of materials database and discount database Promote efficient and professional impression of the business externally Match and clear invoices To update the IT system for all new suppliers and subcontractors Keep good record of purchases Cascade all new projects effectively to our supply chain partners Update database with pricing and discounts Where required manage meetings with company approved suppliers Send supplier pre qualifications to new suppliers Expedite documentation, invoices and information from the Supply Chain Expedite and chase overdue materials Input accurate orders into company systems Control documentation for supplier contracts When required, assist estimating to receive quotations on time * Communicate and liaise with site to establish best buying practices
