I am excited to be recruiting for a TOC Planning Manager to join the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), where we are supporting the delivery of the Sizewell C Project. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to contribute to the development of a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station that will provide low-carbon energy to approximately 6 million homes for decades to come. As a TOC Planning Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of managing and developing the project’s detailed programme. You will be responsible for: Key Responsibilities: Leading the planning team to deliver the programme, including developing, updating, and monitoring project schedules. Coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment with the site delivery team, designers, and supply chain. Overseeing the creation of the programme, ensuring it integrates with the overall master programme. Collaborating with the Alliance Programme submission team to provide intelligent data, analysis, and accurate reporting for weekly and monthly updates. Managing the contract programmes with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring milestones are met and issues are addressed swiftly. Mentoring and developing the planning team, building a high-performance unit and nurturing talent across the project. Analysing data and KPIs to monitor progress, identify risks, and make data-driven decisions. Managing environmental and regulatory requirements, ensuring the programme reflects constraints such as soil and water management. Promoting safety within the project team, adhering to nuclear safety protocols and regulations. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: A degree or recognised qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in planning and managing large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally within the infrastructure or nuclear sector. Strong technical proficiency in using P6 (Primavera) for programme management in an enterprise environment. Demonstrated ability to manage and update NEC contract programmes and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in earthworks planning, including temporary works and environmental considerations. Safety-first mindset: A track record of fostering a safety culture and ensuring compliance with nuclear safety regulations. Experience in resource management to balance project needs, ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery. A proactive approach to risk management, including using time risk allowances and managing risks from the project register. Desirable: CIOB/MICE Membership or equivalent qualifications. Familiarity with 4D/Synchro Modelling and experience in high-complexity projects involving multiple interdependencies. Expertise in producing time chainage programmes aligned with P6.
