Transport Planner Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Bristol. With over 30 years of experience, the consultancy prides themselves on providing expert transport planning and highway engineering solutions to a wide range of public and private sector clients. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality transport planning services, contributing to the success of key projects. Key Responsibilities ·Conducting transport assessments, travel plans, and feasibility studies for various development projects. ·Developing sustainable transport strategies, including public transport, cycling, and walking initiatives. ·Analyzing transport data and utilizing transport modeling software to inform project recommendations. ·Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet planning and regulatory requirements. ·Preparing technical reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders. ·Supporting senior planners and engineers in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects. Key Requirements ·A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field. ·Relevant experience in transport planning or a similar role, preferably in consultancy or local authority settings. ·Proficiency in transport planning software such as TRICS, TEMPRO, or Junctions. ·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. ·Excellent communication and report-writing abilities. ·Familiarity with UK transport planning policy and guidance, including the NPPF and Manual for Streets. ·Membership or working towards membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, TPS, or ICE).
