The Principal Designer's Role The successful Principal Designer will join a dynamic team within this charitable architecture firm, playing a crucial role in managing and overseeing a variety of projects. The Principal Designer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, providing comprehensive design risk management, and delivering high-quality services across multiple phases of the projects. Responsibilities of the Principal Designer Provide the full scope of Principal Designer services, including compiling pre-construction information, managing design risk assessments, and ensuring CDM compliance. Work closely with design teams and clients to develop and implement effective safety and design strategies. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards and regulations. Lead CDM workshops and provide training to design teams on best practices in risk management and safety. Review and approve construction phase plans, ensuring all safety measures are in place and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. The Principal Designer Degree qualified in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering. NEBOSH Construction Certificate. Membership with IOSH or APS. Extensive experience in delivering Principal Designer services within a consultancy or architectural practice. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.
