Engineering Supervisor Are you a dynamic leader with a background in engineering and a passion for continuous improvement? We are seeking an Engineering Supervisor to support our operations. This role will serve as a key liaison between the engineering shift team, day personnel, and the Maintenance Manager for Magnesium, ensuring day-to-day activities run smoothly and efficiently. Main Responsibilities: Health & Safety Leadership: Ensure the highest health and safety standards are maintained, reinforcing a Safety-First culture across all activities. Team Leadership & Accountability: Lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous improvement, and serve as a role model for our core values: Customer First, Personal Development, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, and Innovation. Production Support: Support the team leaders and operations managers to ensure Magnesium production activities are completed on time and in full, with a focus on quality and safety. Training & Development: Ensure that all engineering personnel, both shift and day staff, are allocated time for training, personal development, and hygiene activities, including internal auditing, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives. Performance Reporting: Assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring timely reporting of all key performance indicators (KPIs), including financial, operational, HSE, quality, and HR metrics. Communication & Engagement: Ensure all Magnesium Engineering team members receive and engage with important communications, including daily briefs, weekly newsletters, and other employee updates. Agility & SAP Transactions: Ensure that all engineering Agility transactions are completed accurately and promptly, ideally in real-time or by the end of the shift. Cover for Maintenance Manager: Step in to cover the Maintenance Manager’s duties when required, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making. Other Duties: Perform any other responsibilities within the role as required, maintaining flexibility and adaptability to changing needs. Working Pattern: Full-time position with flexibility required to meet operational demands. Requirements: Education: 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Science, Mathematics, and English. Qualifications: Level 3 or higher qualification in engineering, a science subject, or a related discipline. Leadership: A supervisory or leadership qualification such as ILM or equivalent. Experience: Proven experience working in an engineering environment. Experience managing staff and leading teams. Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Track record of working in multifunctional teams on problem-solving and improvement activities. Direct experience in driving business cultural change to sustainable levels. Additional Information: Facilities Engineer Salary: Up to £50,000 (commensurate with experience). Bonus: Eligible for performance-related bonus.
