Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Intern to support our Facilities Manager in ensuring the maintenance and compliance of our facilities. Key purposes of the role Assist in ensuring that buildings and facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with relevant regulations, including managing repairs, renovations, and upgrades. Support in implementing and monitoring safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment. This includes emergency response planning, risk assessments, and compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate in overseeing utilities such as electricity, water, and heating/cooling systems to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Implement energy-saving initiatives. Support with security measures to protect the facility, its occupants, and assets by liaising with security personnel and developing security policies. Assist with vendor and contract relationships, collaborating with external vendors and service providers for facility-related services. Collaborate in delivering staff training, presentations, and communicating announcements. Organize and utilize available space within the facility to meet organizational needs, including planning layouts, relocations, and expansions.
