The CFO is looking to recruit a Projects and Investments Finance Director. This newly created role will lead the Project Development Arm global finance team and manage all finance related matters for the subsidiaries and projects. Key responsibilities include pre-investments financial review and recommendation, on-going investment support and post-investment financial reporting, valuations and management, in addition to support for the strategy and implementation of project disposal/exits, as well as ensuring financial sustainability, efficiency and value for money in all aspects of the operations. You will be a key part of the executive, and this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to deliver a measurable real impact. Role and Responsibilities Managing the global finance team including talent management, development and succession planning Support the Global CFO with fundraising activities, including associated financial modelling and finance aspects of due diligence activities as well as monitoring project spend for the Group and prioritising allocation to projects Lead valuation activities of projects and investment, including being a co member of the Valuation Committee Analysing project prospects through to business cases, investment approval, overall monitoring throughout the project lifecycle plus oversight and ultimate disposal to ensure returns are maximised Company Directorship - represent as director on the boards of project companies Act as financial business partner to senior stakeholders, leading on the business plan and budgeting processes Support the Asset Management team in providing financial control services and performance reporting for project companies Responsibility for financial sustainability KPI monitoring and value for money (VFM) and efficiency reporting as well as lead for the regular reporting to the Group Provide business support and financial control related support and advice on projects Work collaboratively with Group Financial Controller and Head of FP&A in the preparation and analysis of financial results Responsibility for oversight and in collaboration, on day-to-day running of the finances, including controls, delegated authorities, payments and cash management Ensure in collaboration, that all related entities are tax compliant Responsibility for the projects’ treasury function and cash management including relationships with bankers Requirements: Educated to a degree level, with excellent academics You will be either CFA qualified or hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Excellent IFRS knowledge – especially IFRS 9 and 10, including IPEV based valuation Comfortable with international corporation tax, including transfer pricing arrangements Highly credible and track record of team management and leadership across multiple locations Strong Excel, report writing and communication skills Comfortable with presenting to Boards Experience of private markets (Infrastructure, PE, VC, Private Debt), including supporting fund-raising efforts. familiar with PE jurisdiction set ups Financial services experience (wholesale banking and/or investment funds) Exposure to long term financial planning and modelling as well as group wide reporting, planning and budgeting Exposure to emerging markets Equality Statement: We know that diverse recruitment practices start with us.
