The oral care industry hasn’t changed in 50 years. In 2024, we’re still being sold toothpaste packed with harsh chemicals like SLS and titanium dioxide, all in plastic tubes. This makes oral care one of the world’s largest plastic waste contributors. It’s time for change. But transforming the status quo isn’t easy.

Our mission is to build a team of optimistic, forward-thinking individuals determined to make a positive impact. We’re committed to creating healthier, cleaner formulations while also tackling plastic waste.

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing ready for their biggest challenge yet—someone who will treat the brand as their own and ignite a movement that redefines oral care. This is an opportunity to inspire millions to switch to safer, sustainable alternatives, and become the marketing leader that gets written about in case studies for years to come.

Outcomes

We keep things simple at Life Supplies. We prefer to tell you what needs to be achieved and then let you tell us how you’re going to do it:

Acquisition: sign up 50,000 new customers within 12 months using £1m budget
Retention: achieve 80% box 3 retention within 12 months
Product launches: deliver successful marketing launch of one new product per quarter
Team development: build and lead a high-performance marketing team

What it takes to nail the mission:

Strategic marketing: ability to plan and execute cohesive owned, earned and paid marketing strategies.
Creativity: innovative approach to marketing campaigns that differentiates the brand in a way that others wouldn’t dare. We must be exciting, or we will fail.
Customer-experience mastery: obsessive about creating a 5-star CX across digital to CRM to unboxing, with insane attention to detail.
Commercially minded: able to problem solve and manage the channel mix and offer to achieve desired CPA and customer pay-back goals.
Growth-driven: ability to unlock growth through networking, building relationships, and identifying non-traditional marketing opportunities beyond paid channels.
D2C expertise: highly knowledgeable of D2C subscription models, with a strong grasp of trends, metrics, and optimisation strategies to drive performance.
Leadership: you know how to recruit, lead and motivate teams to achieve outstanding results.

Experience

The background we’re looking for:

3+ years in a senior marketing leadership role at an early-stage D2C company, with proven success in scaling growth
Building brand advocacy and word of mouth at scale
Executing high-performance paid media and CRM strategies
Building and leading a high-performance marketing team
Bonus: you’ve worked in the oral care industry
